We added all of these updates without charging for any of that content or rolling it into a BTD6 or in any other way asking players to shell out again. We have put heaps of work into the Bloons TD 5 series, have put out dozens of major content updates on a regular monthly cadence since launch, and have added features and game modes which easily put it in the 100+ hour category just for map completion, with another 100+ hours to get through all of the challenge missions. The only way we do that is by having an amazing team, incredible game quality and depth, continued investment in updates, and the best customer value and fan support we can provide.

Now Ninja Kiwi is a medium sized developer (50 people) in New Zealand and Scotland, and we still punch above our weight, staying at the top of web and mobile charts despite big competitors with big advertising budgets. Ninja Kiwi started out as a tiny developer in New Zealand, and it punched above its weight and put out some madly popular flash games, including Bloons and Bloons TD. I feel like those two positions are already reconciled, but it seems you don't, so let me explain how I see it. I care a lot for and about the people who I work with, building the best games possible, and making sure Ninja Kiwi has a business that will keep my colleagues and I gainfully employed, and you care a lot about having a great game, having your time and intelligence respected, and getting value for both your time and money. None of them felt lazy putting their best efforts and long hours into getting a great PC/Mac version on Steam. Been noodling this response awhile, as it hit the dev team like a punch in the gut. We appreciate you being a fan and taking the time to write.
#Btd 5 deluxe free update
Update this game, make it worthy of it's Steam status, and most importantly of all, don't treate your gamers like idiots. As it stands BTD5 Deluxe Steam Edition is not worthy of being a BTD 5 Steam game, it is merely a mobile port done for the sake of profit. Respect your audience, and they will do the same to you. Do not give us the cold shoulder and simply port what's already there poorly to PC, treat this as an individual game. BTD5 Steam is not BTD5 Mobile, It is BTD5 Deluxe UPDATED on Steam. I ask that you act out of respect for your audience and treat this game as its own.

Everything you've done has been previously availiable on Mobile or otherwise, and you did not even put in the effort to optimise your game for PC gamers - a large part of your audience.

Nothing 'New' has been added to this version. But I do not appreciate being forced to intently stare at them because my game will not go into Windowed Mode - a feature that was previously on BTD5 Deluxe. I respect that you've uprezzed the textures - they look very good. You also haven't put in a Windowed mode, and while that may not affect many gamers, anyone with a resolution of over 1280*1024 who wants to multi-task will find that it is impossible, as your game forces itself to fullscreen no matter what.
#Btd 5 deluxe free upgrade
Why not just group all the upgrade systems together into one so you didn't have to pointlessly juggle between 'Gold Coins' and 'Bloon money?' You also took the liberty of removing the Premium Currency previously on the Mobile Edition and replaced it with the same, albeit redundant system on PC. I played BTD Battles and Bloons Monkey City in the meantime, waiting for the moment where BTD5 Deluxe would get the fabled update that included all the new maps on the Online BTD5 and Co-Op (maybe even Battles, if fate would allow it)īTD5 Steam Edition is not this update however, and while introducing boatloads of new content, it feels so 'lazy', like you guys just took the mobile game and dumped it straight on PC:ĭesigned primarily for the tablet, your controls are extremely unintuitive and menu navigations are frustrating as hell. I've since poured many hours into BTD5 Deluxe, and have almost beaten all the levels on 'Hard' difficulty.

It was a great game to enjoy, and I really liked the quirkiness of the 'Premium' levels (and Bloonchipper) that were then only avail to Deluxe PC buyers (and mobile, but we don't count that.). I bought BTD5 Deluxe earlier this year and had great fun playing it on the PC.

I recall being there on near launch day loading the Flash game into my computer at the best speeds Australian Internet would allow me to (200kbps) and finishing the first ever level on 'Hard" difficulty in my entire Bloons history (Ye Olde Monkey Lane). That website was used quite a bit by myself and others, and though it's gone now I fondly remember the memories I had playing your games.įast-forward ~4 years and you have BTD5. I played Bloons Tower Defense 2 over 6 years ago in primary school, and remember adding 3 and 4 into the website as they were released.
